In Russia, investigators from the Samara Department of Internal Affairs have charged an 18-year-old college student for sharing his bank card details with an unknown individual, allegedly for withdrawing funds from an unnamed online casino. He faces charges of illegal circulation of payment means under Part 3 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The student claimed he was convinced of the legality of his actions. According to the investigation, in December 2025, he responded to an offer for quick earnings and, for 7,000 rubles (approximately $87), provided his personal bank card information along with his personal details. After this, he lost control over his account.
The funds that were credited to his account were blocked as a suspicious transaction, and the account itself was seized to secure a civil claim. The student has admitted his guilt and could face up to three years in prison.
