PENN Entertainment has announced plans to unveil a new hotel tower at Hollywood Casino Columbus in Ohio, with an anticipated opening date of June 12, 2026, pending the usual regulatory approvals.
This new addition will feature 203 rooms, significantly enhancing the casino's offerings and providing upscale accommodations alongside its gaming, dining, and entertainment options.
The hotel tower will span 150,000 square feet and will include 183 standard rooms and 20 luxury suites. Guests can also enjoy a full-service bar and restaurant named The Hill Eatery & Lounge, as well as conference facilities, a fitness center, and an outdoor terrace for seating. Room bookings will be available starting April 15 via the Hollywood Casino Columbus website.
Jay Snowden, the Chief Executive and President of PENN Entertainment, expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating, “We’re thrilled to officially announce the opening date for our new hotel in Columbus, which positions us to be the top entertainment destination in the region.”
He added that this hotel will be the third retail development completed within a year, following the recent launch of a new casino in Joliet and a second hotel tower at the M Resort.
The new hotel is projected to generate approximately 100 jobs in the west side of Columbus. To facilitate hiring, the casino will host job fairs for hotel positions on March 27 and April 10.
The grand opening celebrations are set for June 12, featuring an outdoor festival and concert.
Additionally, Hollywood Casino Columbus plans to introduce an expanded high-limit table games room in the latter half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
This hotel tower will be the third of PENN’s previously announced expansion projects to be completed. In 2025, the company launched a new land-based casino in Joliet, Illinois, and a new hotel tower at the M Resort Spa Casino near Las Vegas.
PENN also anticipates the opening of Hollywood Casino Aurora in the second quarter, with a new land-based casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa, expected to debut in late 2027 or early 2028.
