Lake Mac Casino Resort & Racetrack in Nebraska has officially added live table games to its gaming options. The new offerings were unveiled on Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking a notable expansion ahead of the casino's annual quarter horse racing weekend.
Starting Thursday, July 2, live table games will be available from Thursday to Sunday between 4 p.m. and 2 a.m., featuring popular games such as Blackjack and Ultimate Texas Hold'em.
Located just off Interstate 80 in Ogallala, Nebraska, the casino already boasts over 300 slot machines, electronic table games, a sportsbook, simulcast wagering, live entertainment, and quarter horse racing. The introduction of live tables enhances the existing electronic gaming options.
The launch coincides with the upcoming 2026 American Quarter Horse race weekend, set for Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11, featuring a total of eight races, with four scheduled each day starting at 3 p.m. Mountain Time.
The unveiling of the live table games took place during a special ceremony attended by local leaders, casino officials, and representatives from business and tourism sectors. General Manager Thomas Frank, Keith County Area Development Executive Director Mary Wilson, and Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission Commissioner Janell Beveridge of Paxton delivered remarks during the event.
Following the speeches, officials cut the ceremonial ribbon, allowing guests to explore the new gaming area. Dealers showcased the tables, giving attendees a firsthand look at the expanded gaming floor.
“Today was a great day for Lake Mac Casino and Ogallala,” stated Thomas Frank, the casino's General Manager. “The introduction of live table games has been highly awaited, providing more choices for our customers and creating additional job opportunities at the casino.”
As gaming operations continue to grow, career opportunities are also available at the casino.
