Genius Sports Surpasses Q3 2026 Guidance, Raises Full-Year Forecast

Genius Sports has reported strong financial results for the third quarter of 2026, outpacing earlier guidance and prompting the company to revise its full-year outlook upward. The global sports data and technology provider revealed its latest figures for the period ending September 30, 2026, highlighting robust revenue growth and operational improvements.

Significant Revenue and Profitability Gains

Group revenue for Q3 2026 reached $269.9 million, an increase of $103.6 million year-over-year. The Betting Technology, Content & Services segment generated $153.0 million, up 33% from the previous year, attributed to increased business with existing customers, price hikes on contract renewals, and expansion into new and existing markets. Media Technology, Content & Services revenue soared 126% to $116.9 million, largely driven by the Legend acquisition.

The quarter marked Genius Sports’ first-ever income from operations, totaling $10.4 million—a $36.0 million year-over-year improvement. The group net loss narrowed to $15.7 million, down from $28.8 million in Q3 2025, aided by a reduction in stock-based compensation. Adjusted EBITDA rose 156% year-over-year to $87.1 million.

Strategic Partnerships and Product Launches

Genius Sports expanded its reach through several key partnerships and new offerings during the quarter. The company collaborated with Polymarket and Kalshi to enhance its presence in the prediction markets sector and launched Prediction.com, a platform for comparing probabilities and event contracts. The company also implemented Semi-Automated Offside Technology (SAOT) for the Brazilian Football Confederation and partnered with NBA All-Star Chris Paul and Words + Pictures to launch a new sports media company powered by Genius Sports’ technology.

Other initiatives included partnering with TelevisaUnivision to augment Liga MX broadcasts and, after the reporting period, connecting NFL Gametime on X (formerly Twitter) with official NFL data. Genius also expanded its offside technology to Argentine Football through an extended partnership with the AFA.

Implications for the Industry

Genius Sports’ performance demonstrates the growing value of real-time data and technology for operators, affiliates, and media partners. For betting operators, the company’s expansion into prediction markets and enhanced data services offer new ways to engage customers and manage risk. Affiliates and suppliers benefit from the broader content portfolio and improved data-driven products, while regulators may note the company’s focus on integrity services and technological innovation as positive developments for market transparency and fairness.

Upgraded Full-Year 2026 Guidance

Given its Q3 results, Genius Sports has raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to between $1.015 billion and $1.035 billion, and adjusted EBITDA guidance to $287–$297 million. The company now anticipates a year-end cash balance of around $260 million, implying more than $100 million in free cash flow for the second half of the year.
