The Global Gaming Expo (G2E) 2026 officially commences its exhibition in Las Vegas on Tuesday, uniting over 25,000 professionals from the gaming sector and more than 400 exhibitors from the global regulated gaming market.
This event, hosted by the American Gaming Association (AGA) and organized by RX, will run until October 1 at The Venetian Expo. This year's agenda emphasizes key topics such as prediction markets, artificial intelligence, technology, and the evolving interplay between gaming and sports.
While educational sessions kicked off on Monday, the expo floor will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, marking the beginning of the main exhibition activities. Organizers anticipate participation from attendees across more than 120 countries, showcasing advancements in casino gaming, iGaming, sports betting, payments, hospitality, and business technology.
One of the most significant discussions at G2E this year is the increasing role of prediction markets within the US sports betting framework. This debate has gained traction in Nevada, where regulators express concerns that prediction market operators are engaging in sports betting without adhering to the state's gaming regulations. Although Kalshi, a leading prediction market operator, is not exhibiting at G2E, its business model and the ongoing regulatory debate are expected to be central to conversations during the event.
The opening programming at G2E will also address this issue. A Main Stage session titled “The Power of Unity: Confronting the Prediction Markets Challenge” will gather tribal gaming representatives to discuss worries surrounding prediction markets, jurisdictional matters, and their potential effects on tribal gaming frameworks.
Notable speakers include Gwen Mills, International Union President of UNITE HERE; Rodney Butler, Chairman of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation; Representative Steven Horsford, Congressman from Nevada; and Bill Miller, President and CEO of the American Gaming Association. They will delve into how gaming stakeholders can synchronize their legal, political, and public policy strategies, emphasizing the importance of collective action in safeguarding gaming, tribal sovereignty, and regulatory authority.
Artificial intelligence is another significant focus at G2E 2026, as technology increasingly permeates various aspects of the gaming industry. The newly introduced Business Solutions & Tech Zone is tailored to this transition, showcasing technologies related to AI, data analytics, cybersecurity, payments, CRM, marketing tech, and other enterprise solutions.
Organizers aim for this zone to highlight technologies that can enhance efficiency, personalization, and revenue for integrated resorts, extending the technology dialogue beyond conventional gaming equipment.
This broader technological perspective illustrates how the gaming sector is now considering the entire player journey rather than just individual products. Aspects like data, payments, loyalty, cybersecurity, and customer engagement are becoming more intertwined with the casino environment and will also be represented on the expo floor.
The Main Stage will feature discussions with some of the industry's most influential executives. Tuesday's lineup includes a conversation with MGM Resorts International CEO Bill Hornbuckle, Caesars Entertainment CEO Tom Reeg, and Wynn Resorts CEO Craig Billings, moderated by CNBC correspondent Contessa Brewer. They will discuss the current state of the gaming industry, expansion in Las Vegas and international markets, integrated resorts, technology, and tourism.
Additionally, the program will highlight BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt in a dialogue with hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, focusing on sports betting, digital innovation, and the convergence of professional sports and gaming.
The comprehensive G2E education program features over 100 sessions and more than 300 speakers, covering a wide range of topics from regulation and responsible gaming to technological advancements.
