EveryMatrix Sees Growth Opportunity in Central African Markets

EveryMatrix is strengthening its presence in Africa’s iGaming sector following its acquisition of FSB Technology in July 2024. The company is focusing on expanding in markets across the continent, with particular attention to central English- and French-speaking African countries, according to Chief Commercial Officer Arthur Barker.

Strategic Expansion in Africa

While Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa currently represent a significant share of EveryMatrix’s African gross gaming revenue, the supplier is shifting its attention to less saturated markets in central Africa. Barker highlighted that these regions offer promising indicators for future growth, such as increasing disposable income, greater device penetration, and expanding internet access. The company has already established content partnerships with operators like Betsson and is in talks with another operator in the region.

Managing Regulatory Challenges

EveryMatrix acknowledges that regulatory environments in African markets are highly dynamic and can change rapidly. Barker emphasized the need for agility, noting that regulatory shifts in Africa can occur much faster than in established European markets. The company’s technical and compliance teams are prepared to adapt to these changes to ensure continued service for their operator partners. EveryMatrix has also secured necessary licenses and is pursuing additional ones as it expands its footprint.

Importance for Industry Stakeholders

For operators, affiliates, and suppliers, EveryMatrix’s approach underscores the importance of local expertise and adaptability in Africa. The company is prioritizing partnerships with entities that have in-depth knowledge of their respective markets, enabling better navigation of regulatory developments. This strategy not only supports compliance but also fosters more resilient business operations in rapidly evolving environments.
