The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) has released its annual report detailing the performance of nine member operators in the online segment of the EU and the UK. The report highlights a significant growth attributed to the expansion of its membership, with Tipico joining as the ninth operator in 2025, marking its first inclusion in the statistics.

- €1.11 — average bet size (9% YoY), with EGBA linking the decline to a broader industry trend towards more frequent, smaller bets

- 43.8 million — active customer accounts (13% YoY), noting that players with multiple accounts are counted multiple times

In addition to market data, the report notes key events of the year. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) approved the first European standard for identifying problematic gambling, featuring nine behavioral indicators. Furthermore, Finland has enacted a law to abolish the state monopoly on online gambling, effective July 1, 2027.
