In the Netherlands, streamer Martin Hummel has played online poker for 76 consecutive hours, surpassing the current world record time. He began his attempt on August 14 with the goal of 72 hours. However, the Guinness World Records has yet to review this achievement, as the existing record of 49 hours, set in 2023, still belongs to Spanish player Sergio Garcia.
Throughout the marathon, Hummel streamed live on his Twitch channel, ppmh00, with occasional appearances from onlookers in the frame. This isn’t Hummel's first record; he previously set two Guinness-recognized records, playing 48 hours of online poker in 2021 and over 71 hours at a roulette table in 2023.
