A complaint against publications about Sportradar has surfaced, revealing attempts to remove articles related to 1xBet.
The publication Activ8 Insights has released an investigation regarding DMCA complaints demanding the removal of 18 articles from 14 websites across Brazil, India, France, Sweden, Russia, the UK, and the USA, including sites like SportClan and TGStat. These articles discussed April reports from investment funds Muddy Waters and Callisto Research, which claimed that a significant portion of Sportradar's revenue comes from illegal iGaming operators.
Interestingly, one of the pages in the complaint belongs to Activ8 Insights itself, indicating that the publication is a direct participant in these events. Key findings highlighted by iGN include:
- The complaint was filed on April 27 on behalf of Muddy Waters, although the investment fund publicly stated that it did not initiate it and had no agreements with the sender.
- The sender's name is listed as Alex Gramm with the country code UA (Ukraine), and instead of describing the stolen material, the complaint refers to a single address on the Muddy Waters site, claiming that the listed websites appropriated the research published there.
- Under the same name, the Lumen archive records at least 12 complaints since 2013 demanding the removal of 84 publications across 68 domains.
- Activ8 Insights discovered that 10 out of the 12 complaints were filed in the interests of 1xBet. Some demanded the removal of duplicate operator sites, while others declared 1xBet's advertising texts as the complainant's property, and some sought to remove articles about the brand from search results.
- In a complaint from October 2025, the complainant is listed as Alex Gramm on behalf of 1xBet, with the operator indicated as the party in whose interests the appeal was filed.
Sportradar stated to the publication that it did not file the complaint, did not order it, did not seek the removal of publications, and has no relationship with the sender of the complaints. 1xBet did not respond to the publication's inquiry.
Activ8 Insights emphasizes that they do not possess evidence of any commissioned nature of the complaint from either 1xBet or Sportradar, nor do they assert any knowledge of it.
