A new lottery scratch ticket simulator, Scratch the Ticket, has been released on Steam by indie developer Shilenok and publisher Spaghetti Cat, as reported by iGN.
In this game, players are tasked with printing tickets and scratching off hidden cells with a coin. Each basic ticket contains five cells, four of which hide multipliers, while one conceals a bomb, the location of which is unknown to the player. Every scratch either increases the winnings or triggers the bomb, which wipes out all accumulated winnings on that ticket. After revealing a multiplier, players must decide whether to scratch another cell or cash out.
The game also features various types of tickets, including slot machine variations, minesweeper, and battleship. Players can reduce their risk with paid gadgets. For instance, a spy gadget leaves an invisible mark on the cell containing the bomb or grand prize, while a UV flashlight illuminates it before scratching. An LED panel reveals the ticket's contents, and drops uncover all cells at once.
Players build and upgrade three types of printers to print tickets, and everything they earn goes towards the main goal of the game: purchasing an apartment in the city center. Scratch the Ticket was released on August 13, priced at $9.99, and currently holds a mixed rating based on 57 user reviews.
