The British exhibition company Informa has reached an agreement with Blackstone to acquire Clarion Events, the organizer of major iGaming exhibitions such as ICE in Barcelona and iGB Live in London. The deal values Clarion at £2.24 billion ($3 billion).
Blackstone initially purchased Clarion in 2017 for £600 million ($795 million), meaning the company's valuation has nearly quadrupled in nine years. Informa identifies the gaming industry as one of three key growth areas targeted by this acquisition, with ICE highlighted as a global leader among gaming exhibitions.
According to Informa's projections, Clarion's revenue is expected to exceed £575 million ($762 million) by 2027. The deal is anticipated to close by the end of the fourth quarter of 2026, pending regulatory approvals.
