The International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG) has been awarded $185,000 from the proceeds of the 27th annual AGEM & AGA Golf Classic, organized by JCM Global. This latest donation brings the total contributions to the ICRG to an impressive $3.2 million since the tournament's inception in 1999.
The formal presentation of the contribution took place this week during the Global Gaming Expo (G2E), facilitated by the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM), the American Gaming Association, and JCM Global.
This year's golf tournament, which occurred on May 6 at the SouthShore Country Club in Henderson, Nevada, raised $5,000 more than the previous year's total of $180,000.
The ICRG is dedicated to funding independent, peer-reviewed research focused on gambling disorders and promoting responsible gambling practices. Prior to G2E, the organization hosted its 27th annual Conference on Gambling and Addiction at the Venetian Expo on September 27 and 28.
Notable attendees at the check presentation included AGEM President and CEO Daron Dorsey, AGA Senior Vice President of Membership and Events Maureen Beddis, ICRG President Michael Soll, ICRG Director of Corporate Partnerships Joshua Belkin, ICRG Director of Research and Education Travis Sztainert, ICRG board member Art Paikowsky, and JCM Senior Vice President Dave Kubajak.
