A reader of the Onliner portal in Belarus received a notification from the Register of Passenger Transportation, urging the immediate removal of gambling advertisements from taxi vehicles. The notification also advises against placing such ads inside the taxis.
While the notification does not explicitly ban advertising on the vehicle's exterior, it follows a previous proposal by the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade. This proposal suggested a complete ban on gambling ads in public transport, including taxis and private cars. Additionally, it recommended prohibiting these ads in metro stations and limiting their display on outdoor media from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
