In the UK, at least three NHS healthcare organization websites have been found to contain links to the former medical site MyTherappy. This site, which is currently live, features a collection of unlicensed online casinos operating in the country.
Previously, The Independent and SBC News reported on the hacking of the site. However, CCN has further discovered that the registration for the MyTherappy domain expired on September 18, 2024. By January 2025, the address redirected to a service for pre-ordering expired domains.
According to the publication, this situation appears to be more about a loss of control over the domain rather than a deliberate hack.
