The Romanian regulator ONJN has filed a criminal complaint with the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) against an unnamed licensed Class II affiliate. This action was taken on March 24 due to the affiliate's activities in redirecting players to websites of unlicensed iGaming operators in the country.
According to ONJN, the affiliate's website identified the user's country and connection type, using a chain of redirects to guide players to mirrors of offshore casinos. Among the brands promoted, the regulator specifically mentioned NV Casino (Nixxe B.V.) and Verde Casino (Wiraon B.V.), for which ONJN has repeatedly reached out to DIICOT over the past year.
