On March 17, the Dutch regulator KSA issued a decision to enforce a fine of €840,000 against the offshore operator Booms.bet (3-102-903325 SRL, Costa Rica) for failing to comply with a directive to cease operations without a license.
The KSA had issued the directive on November 21, 2025, imposing a mandatory payment of €420,000 for each week or part of a week of non-compliance, with a cap at €840,000. Inspections conducted on January 15 and 22, 2026, confirmed that Dutch players with existing accounts were still able to access Booms.bet and play, leading to the automatic imposition of the maximum fine of €840,000 (2 x €420,000).
The operator did not file any objections and failed to respond to the notice of the fine.
