The Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office has detained 17 executives from various football clubs as part of an investigation into betting on their own teams.

According to the prosecutor's office, investigators compared betting data from online distributors of the monopoly operator IDDAA from 2020 to 2026 with the terms of office of club officials. The investigation suggests that 19 executives from professional league clubs under the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) placed bets on matches involving their own clubs, including wagers on opponent victories, totals, and individual player statistics.

The investigation has also analyzed bets placed by referees, players, and officials at seven online distributors of the monopoly operator IDDAA, including Misli, Nesine, Oley, Tuttur, İddaa, Bilyoner, and Birebin. Financial reports from MASAK have also been included in the case. Raids took place simultaneously in 10 provinces, and two suspects are currently abroad, with procedural actions ongoing.
