In the United States, the prediction market platform Polymarket has accused its competitor Kalshi of corporate espionage and product copying. According to reports from the NY Post citing sources, Polymarket has compiled an internal dossier consisting of about a dozen instances where Kalshi launched similar products and marketing campaigns with suspiciously coinciding timelines.
Sources indicate that Polymarket's suspicions were particularly directed at Kalshi's investor office, the venture firm Paradigm, located in Soho directly across from their own office. This proximity potentially allows for the observation of employees' work screens. As a precaution, Polymarket has tinted some of their windows.
Both Kalshi and Paradigm have dismissed the allegations, labeling them as unfounded, and stated that they continue to develop their own product.
