Skunkape Games has released a remaster of the single-player poker game Poker Night at the Inventory on Steam, as discovered by iGN.
In this game, players can sit down for unlimited Texas Hold'em against four computer-controlled characters from popular franchises such as Team Fortress 2, Sam & Max, Penny Arcade, and Homestar Runner.
The stakes at the table are not limited to chips. If a player runs low on money, they can wager an item associated with their character from Team Fortress 2, like the Iron Curtain minigun from the Heavy. The player who knocks them out of the tournament will receive that item in their inventory for the shooter.
The original version was released by Telltale Games in 2010, but it was removed from sale in May 2019, making items unavailable to new players. In the remaster, these items can once again be won at the table, although trading and selling them is not allowed, as stated in their descriptions.
The remaster launched on March 5, 2026, and is priced at $9.99 on Steam. According to Skunkape Games, a small team of former Telltale employees who worked on the original game developed this version. The poker code has been completely rewritten for more accurate gameplay, and players can now set their own starting buy-in amount. However, there are no options for real-money betting in the game.
