The Philippine News Agency (PNA) website is reportedly distributing dozens of hidden online casino pages to Google's search bot, as uncovered by iGN. These pages appear in Google News under the agency's brand and are attributed to its correspondent, featuring headlines like 'gambling slots' and 'jili 178 register login'. However, when regular users click on these links, they encounter a 404 error.
iGN's editorial team posed as Google's search bot and successfully accessed full pages formatted in the agency's template. These pages reside on the main domain pnagovph in six sections with addresses like 'casinoet' and 'jackpots', which do not exist in the site's structure. They are credited to correspondent Ruth Abby Gita-Carlos and are dated September 27 and 28.
The content consists of template texts aimed at search queries, offering general advice on payments through GCash and Maya, as well as verification and security tips. There are no external links to verified pages; however, a section for similar articles connects content related to casino brands in the Philippine market such as JILI 178, 55BMW, PHWin, 747 Live, Money88, and SZ777. One of the illustrations carries a watermark from OKGames.
Google's suggestions for the domain pnagovph also include brands like Vavada, Champion, Gama, Olimp, Pin, and TOTO, but no pages under these brands were found by the editorial team. Currently, these materials are only available in Google News, with no presence in regular Google search results. One genuine article from the agency accessed in the same manner contained no extraneous insertions. iGN has sent inquiries to PNA and the Presidential Communications Office, and as of publication, no response has been received.
