New Jersey Welcomes Three New Online Casinos to Its Market

In a recent development, New Jersey's regulated online gambling market has expanded with the addition of three new internet casinos between June and last week. This brings the total number of licensed online gambling platforms in the state to 30, as reported by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.

The newly launched Vegas Club Casino went live on Wednesday, operating under a market-access agreement with Caesars Entertainment. The platform is powered by G2 Digital, a company established by industry veterans Greg Carlin and Dan Alexander.

This launch marks Carlin's first venture into online casinos since leaving Rush Street Interactive and Rush Street Gaming, where he held the position of CEO. Currently, he heads Granite State Gaming and Hospitality, which manages the Beach Club Casino and Lilac Club Casino in New Hampshire.

Carlin expressed his vision for the casino, stating, "Creating a great online gaming experience means delivering authentic excitement, real player protections, and the feeling that every player is a VIP. Vegas Club Casino combines the timeless appeal of classic Las Vegas with the transparency and security of a fully regulated online casino. We look forward to earning players' loyalty through fair play and a fun, exciting experience."

Dan Alexander, who has also played a significant role in the growth of PlayStar as one of New Jersey's leading operators, joins Carlin in this endeavor.

Vegas Club Casino is the third addition to the market following Ember Casino and Betinia Casino, both of which are also linked to Caesars Entertainment. The swift launch of these three casinos introduces new competition to New Jersey's online gambling landscape.

G2 Digital has plans to expand into Alberta, Ontario, and Pennsylvania, pending regulatory approvals in those regions.

These casino launches coincide with a period of growth in New Jersey's gaming sector. According to figures released by the Division of Gaming Enforcement on July 16, total gaming revenue for the state’s casinos, racetracks, and partners reached $585.6 million in June, reflecting a 0.7% increase from $581.6 million in June 2025.

Internet gaming continues to lead the growth, generating $271 million for the month, which marks a 17.5% increase from $230.7 million a year prior. For the first half of 2026, online gaming revenue has reached $1.59 billion, up 15% compared to the same timeframe in 2025.

Atlantic City’s nine casino hotels recorded a total win of $257.3 million in June, a slight decline of 0.7% from $259 million the previous year, yet it stands as the second-highest June figure in 14 years. Year-to-date, the total casino win has reached $1.41 billion, representing a 2.3% increase.

However, sports wagering saw a downturn, with revenue dropping by 37.7% to $57.3 million, despite an increase in total betting handle by 16% to $917.2 million. Regulators attribute this decline to patron winnings related to the NBA Finals and the World Cup.

For the first half of 2026, New Jersey's total gaming revenue reached $3.32 billion, marking a 6% increase from the previous year, while gaming taxes totaled $500.5 million through June.
