A new game titled Who's Cheating? has appeared on Steam, developed by LumenLabs and inspired by casino games, as reported by iGN.
This project falls under the social deduction genre, similar to the popular tabletop game Mafia. In Who's Cheating?, up to eight players will place bets in a casino setting, but among them lurks a cheater who, thanks to special glasses, can see the next winning outcome.
Another player takes on the role of a security guard, tasked with identifying the cheater and eliminating them from the game with a shotgun. The game is set to be released in October 2026.
The casino features classic games such as blackjack, roulette, dice, slot machines, and horse racing bets. The security guard is aided by a casino scanner that marks the location of each win in real-time, though it does not reveal the winner's identity.
Players can also introduce roles like a thief, who can steal 40% of another player's money, and a jester, who must lose all their chips to win. The developers have not disclosed the objectives for regular players.
If a player's funds run low, they can take on a task and borrow money at interest from the in-game loan shark, Tony, but they will need to repay the debt later. The price for the game has not yet been announced, and there are currently no options for real-money betting within the game.
