Laos Hands Over 41 Citizens to Thailand in iGaming Crackdown

The authorities in Laos have transferred 41 citizens to Thailand, who were detained during raids against illegal iGaming operators. All 41 individuals worked as administrators for three unlicensed iGaming websites: Maha Heng 777, UFA, and 365.

Among those returned, there were 30 women and 11 men. The administrators worked in shifts of 12 hours, earning between $360 and $544 per month. During questioning, all 41 confirmed that they crossed the border voluntarily, and no victims of human trafficking or forced labor were identified among them.
