DR Congo Mandates Registration for Gambling Companies by July 31

The Ministry of Finance in the Democratic Republic of Congo has mandated all companies involved in gambling activities—including sports betting, casinos, lotteries, and prediction contests—to register with an electronic identification form by July 31. This requirement is aimed at improving tax administration.

Failure to comply with this mandate could result in administrative sanctions and other measures against the companies.

The registration process is being overseen by the temporary regulator CSJA, which was established in January, pending the formation of the permanent body ARJA. The relevant legislation is currently under review by the parliament. Additionally, CSJA is gradually connecting operators to the national digital oversight platform, with the Ministry of Finance aiming to complete the first phase of implementation by August 30.
