In Minsk, Belarus, law enforcement officials from the Criminal Investigation Department have apprehended a fugitive wanted by Interpol. The individual, a citizen of Mongolia born in 1985, is accused of organizing illegal online gambling activities and laundering proceeds obtained through criminal means.
The decision for extradition was made by the General Prosecutor's Office of Belarus following an extradition review. The man has been handed over to a Mongolian escort at the national airport in Minsk.
Upon his return to Mongolia, he will face criminal charges for his alleged activities.
