The Dutch regulator KSA has mandated the Costa Rican iGaming operator Luckygem to halt operations due to lack of a license. The company faces a weekly fine of €487,000 ($565,000), with a maximum penalty reaching €974,000 ($1.13 million).
During an inspection, the KSA found that Luckygem had not implemented technical measures to restrict local players' access to its products. The fine was calculated based on the costs of a licensed operator in the Netherlands, which amount to €800,000, and the operator's two-week Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) of €174,000, estimated from search query volumes in January 2026.
