Russia Proposes Strict Ban on Online Casino Promotions

The State Duma of Russia is currently reviewing a bill aimed at prohibiting the promotion of online casinos. If passed, the legislation would impose hefty fines of up to 500,000 rubles for individuals and 7 million rubles for organizations.

This proposed bill introduces restrictions on all forms of promotion, including streaming, social media posts, and other methods of information dissemination. The document is expected to be adopted by the fall of 2026, as stated by the bill's author, the chairman of the State Duma's Committee on Youth Policy.

On the same day, Gazeta.ru published an interview with casino streamers Underdog and MrJoker77. In the interview, the streamers discussed how they earn money from promoting online casinos, their relationships with operators, and their own struggles with gambling addiction.
