The government of Gibraltar has granted Predict Street the first license in Europe for operating in the prediction markets sector. Minister of Justice, Trade, and Industry Nigel Feetham announced this in parliament on March 31.
According to the Gibraltar registry, Predict Street Ltd received the license on March 26 under the Gambling Act 2005. The launch is scheduled for April 9, and the product operates on the blockchain technology provided by ADI Chain from Abu Dhabi.
On the company's website, they claim to be an official partner of the 2026 World Cup in the prediction markets category; however, FIFA has not confirmed this partnership.
