On May 17, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) received a trademark application for the name BANGARANGA. This name is identical to the title of a song by Bulgarian singer Dara, who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2026.
The application covers services in the online casino and online betting sectors, as well as gaming equipment and software.
Representatives from Virginia Records stated that the lyrics, title, and other elements of the song have been protected by copyright since 2023. They urged anyone who has submitted or plans to submit similar applications to voluntarily withdraw them to avoid administrative and legal disputes.
