The KVA association in the Netherlands, responsible for certifying local affiliates, has tested the ten most popular AI assistants among Dutch users. This includes well-known names like ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, Grok, and DeepSeek. The findings revealed that under certain question formulations, each assistant directed users towards products from illegal iGaming operators.
All AI assistants, except for Meta AI and Claude, mentioned illegal operators even when responding to neutral questions about the best online casinos in the country. When asked about casinos without Cruks (the national self-exclusion register), Google AI, Mistral Le Chat, DeepSeek, and Grok immediately provided lists of illegal iGaming sites.
All assistants, including Meta AI and Claude, gave responses under the pretext of research. Additionally, Copilot, Mistral Le Chat, and Gemini included illegal brands in their lists of licensed KSA operators. Google AI, DeepSeek, Gemini, and Copilot also highlighted the absence of Cruks, verification, and higher bonuses as advantages for players.
