CID Arrests 11 in Major iGaming Operation in India

In Hyderabad, India, the Special Investigation Team (CID) of Telangana has arrested 11 individuals linked to an illegal network promoting the offshore iGaming operator, Dafabet, in the local market.

According to the investigation, the arrested individuals were involved in accepting player payments, supplying drop accounts, managing shell companies, and providing technical support. The arrests were prompted by a complaint from an engineer in Karimnagar, who reportedly lost around $10,400 on the operator's product between January 2024 and January 2025.

The CID revealed that players were attracted through marketing campaigns featuring cricket betting, casino games, and the crash game Aviator. Player funds were transferred across several states through a network of 46 drop accounts organized into eight transaction levels.

The arrests took place on May 29 in Delhi, Gujarat, and Punjab. During the raids, authorities seized three luxury cars, eight laptops, two iPads, 26 phones, five passports, and approximately $3,360 in cash. A total of 225 complaints have already been filed against the suspects across multiple states, with 73 criminal cases initiated.
