Belarus Proposes Strict Gambling Advertising Restrictions

The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) in Belarus is proposing new measures to restrict gambling advertising. These measures include a complete ban on advertising gambling establishments and games at metro stations, limiting outdoor advertising from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and prohibiting calls to participate in gambling activities.

Additionally, the proposal mandates a warning about the lack of winning guarantees, the risk of financial losses, and potential harm to life and health.

Details of the bill were shared by Angelina Syromyatnikova, a member of the House of Representatives, in a column for the Gomel Vedomosti. According to her, the only exception to these rules would be the signage of the gambling establishments themselves.

It is important to note that this document remains a draft, and the current conditions and the actual adoption of the law are not guaranteed.
