AFL Players Face Fines for Promoting Unlicensed Casino in Australia

In Australia, two former players of the Australian Football League (AFL) club Brisbane Lions, Mitch Robinson and Rhys Mathewson, have been caught promoting an unlicensed online casino, Vegastars, on social media. They also conducted a joint giveaway with the operator worth $3,600, as reported by Australian broadcaster Nine Network.

According to the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), influencers promoting such services could face fines of up to $42,600 for violations. Additionally, if hyperlinks are included, the penalties could soar to $1.77 million.
