In Georgia, law enforcement agencies, in collaboration with the cyber police of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Internal Affairs, have arrested Anar Aliyev (Anar007), an Azerbaijani national. He has been handed over to the Azerbaijani authorities, according to reports from APA citing the press service of the agency.
According to the investigation, Aliyev led an organized group that managed an illegal online casino named Martin and other undisclosed brands on the website chс.рlау. Six other individuals have also been detained in connection with the case.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that Aliyev recruited Azerbaijani citizens and housed them in rented apartments in Tbilisi and other cities, which served as operational centers for the online casino. Other members of his group, under his direction, registered local mobile operator numbers and bank cards, cashed out the proceeds, and transferred them in cryptocurrency to Aliyev's accounts. Some of the funds were laundered through the purchase of movable and immovable property.
During the arrest, police seized electronic devices and bank cards. Following the investigation, all suspects were charged, and Aliyev, along with one other individual, was remanded in custody by the court.
