Thai Woman Sentenced to Death for Cyanide Poisonings Linked to iGaming

A woman in Thailand has received two death sentences for cyanide poisonings, which were linked to her gaming account with the illegal iGaming operator Fun88. The total turnover on her account, along with that of her husband, a police lieutenant colonel, exceeded $2.8 million.

According to the investigation, part of the funds stolen from the victims was directly funneled into gaming accounts with the operator.

The prosecution has submitted 15 cases to the court, 14 of which involve murder charges. The criminal court has already reviewed seven cases, resulting in two death sentences, two life sentences, and three acquittals, as reported by Thairath.

The court found that the murders were committed to conceal fraud and avoid debt repayment, with all the victims being her creditors, car sales partners, or members of savings cooperatives.
