According to the Gomel prosecutor's office, the conflict unfolded in April 2026 when the man informed his partner about his gambling losses, which he had earned during a work trip to Russia. The situation escalated throughout the day as the couple consumed alcohol together.
The stabbing occurred in the evening, after which the accused called for an ambulance herself. Fortunately, the victim survived and spent about a week in the hospital, later providing incriminating testimony in court.
