Anthony Lee, the director of campaign strategy for the Conservative Party, and his wife, Laura Lee, who previously held the position of head of the party's international division, pleaded guilty on September 10.
According to the prosecution, Anthony Lee participated in closed discussions regarding the election dates and placed a bet on a specific date before it was publicly announced. He also shared this insider information with his wife.
The sentencing for the accused will take place on October 23.
