Turning Stone Resort to Unveil Luxury Hotel and Fine Dining

Turning Stone Resort Casino, located in Central New York, is set to launch a new luxury hotel named The Crescent on July 17. This will be followed by the opening of its upscale restaurant, Salt, on July 22.

This expansion is part of a larger initiative by the resort, managed by the Oneida Indian Nation through Turning Stone Enterprises, to establish itself as New York's premier destination for meetings and conventions.

The Crescent, which is the fourth hotel on the resort's premises, will begin accommodating guests on June 29, ahead of its official launch in July. The hotel boasts 258 contemporary guest rooms, featuring enhanced furnishings, textures, and amenities aimed at providing a luxury hospitality experience.

Guests at The Crescent will enjoy direct access to the resort's spa, wellness programs, dining options, golf courses, entertainment, and gaming facilities. Additionally, the hotel will include an on-site medical center, Rome Health Convenient Care at Turning Stone, catering to both guests and staff.

Salt will occupy the entire seventh floor of The Crescent, offering a steakhouse and seafood-inspired menu with stunning views of the Mohawk Valley. The restaurant will feature two spacious terraces for seasonal outdoor dining and four private dining rooms for group gatherings.

The resort aims to create an accessible yet high-end dining experience at Salt, combining elevated cuisine with local influences drawn from the region's landscapes, agriculture, and history.

Turning Stone is once again collaborating with restaurant developer and strategist Elizabeth Blau, who will assist in crafting the Salt experience, including its menu, cocktails, and overall guest journey.

Ray Halbritter, a representative of the Oneida Indian Nation and CEO of Turning Stone Enterprises, stated that this expansion is crucial for the resort's ambition to become New York's leading meetings and conventions destination.

“As we prepare to become New York's largest meetings and conventions resort, it was vital to enhance every aspect of the Turning Stone experience,” Halbritter remarked. “The Crescent and Salt embody our dedication to providing a level of luxury and hospitality that competes with the finest destinations globally.”

Blau emphasized that the restaurant will aim to create an immersive culinary experience.

“The guest experience at Salt will be unparalleled in the Northeast, with meticulous attention to detail to ensure a unique gastronomic journey inspired by the land and sea,” she noted. “I am excited to collaborate with the Turning Stone team again to elevate the standard and create one of the most distinctive and exceptional restaurants in the country.”

The Crescent, Salt, and the upcoming Grand Expo, which is set to open on Labor Day, are key elements of the resort's long-term expansion strategy to transform Turning Stone into a leading national hub for meetings and conventions.
