Steam has unveiled a new page for the dark horror deckbuilder, Blackout Jack, inspired by blackjack and developed by indie creator Blargis, as reported by iGN.
In this gripping narrative, players find themselves forced to gamble their lives against a dealer. To survive, the protagonist must even go so far as to kill the dealer. The game incorporates classic blackjack rules with unique twists. Players fend off increasing quotas, pay for chips with their lives, play multiple hands simultaneously, and enhance their decks with bonuses, elixirs, and modified cards.
After the hero's death, the game night resets, but the information gathered about the dealer, the city, and the surrounding conspiracy remains intact. Between rounds, players can explore a medieval city, searching for poisons, lockpicks, and information to inch closer to their assassination attempts.
As of now, the release date has not been announced.
