A quirky new clicker game titled Slots & Diapers has been released on Steam, developed by indie studio Parodie Games and published by Lazy Otter. The game features a unique premise where elderly individuals in diapers spin the slots.
According to the game’s description, players earn in-game currency through spins, which can be used to purchase faster machines with increased multipliers and hire more senior citizens. Initially, players manually spin the first slot machine, but once they hire pensioners, these characters take over the spinning, allowing the game to shift into idle mode.
In addition to generating money, the slot machines and hired seniors produce a second resource: used diapers, referred to as 'liquid assets' in the game. Players can spend this currency on temporary income boosters. The rarest win on any machine, the Mega Jackpot, yields a third resource known as RAM (Retired Adult Memories), a humorous nod to computer RAM. Players can use RAM to purchase permanent upgrades that carry over to all subsequent runs after restarting the game using the Reboot mechanic.
The game also features a hidden storyline that unfolds as players progress, customization options for the hall and characters, and a leaderboard where players worldwide compete for the highest amount of accumulated liquid assets. Released on June 3, the game currently holds a 'very positive' rating with 407 user reviews.
