SiGMA World is set to make its return to Rome for the second consecutive year, anticipating over 30,000 attendees at this international conference. The focus will be on the future of Italy's regulated gambling industry and the role of emerging technologies.
The event is scheduled to take place at Fiera Roma from November 2 to 5, featuring more than 1,000 exhibitors and over 550 expert speakers across five different stages.
On September 19, the 2026 edition will be officially unveiled at Rome's Capitoline Hill. This presentation will see representatives from various institutions and businesses discussing the developments within Italy's regulated gambling market. Notable speakers include Mariano Angelucci from the Rome City Council, Heathcliff Farrugia representing SiGMA World, and Sergio D’Angelo from SAPAR.
The agenda for September 19 includes “Forbes Italia & SiGMA Talks – Vision 2030,” which will gather regulators, trade associations, and businesses to discuss crucial topics such as regulation, digital transformation, consumer protection, and initiatives against illegal gambling.
Additionally, the discussions will explore innovation and emerging technologies, as well as the differentiation between legal and unauthorized operators, as the sector evaluates its regulatory requirements leading up to 2030.
The event on September 19 will also showcase the Forbes Italia Top 50, a project focused on Italy's regulated gaming sector, developed in partnership with SiGMA, highlighting key figures influencing the industry's evolution.
Artificial intelligence will be a significant theme at the November event, with sessions dedicated to its applications in data analysis, automation, risk management, compliance, and consumer engagement. Other topics will include fintech, digital payments, technological advancements, and iGaming.
Organizers estimate that the previous edition in Rome had an economic impact of approximately €100 million ($116.16 million) on the local economy.
