A recent survey conducted by the ANO Center for the Fight Against Gambling Addiction reveals that 57% of players with gambling addiction in Russia would find ways to circumvent the self-exclusion law, which comes into effect on September 1.
The survey, conducted between August 3 and August 14 among 326 dependent players who sought help from the organization, highlights significant concerns regarding the effectiveness of the new legislation.
Among the respondents, 27% indicated that earlier access to self-exclusion measures would help them reduce or stop their gambling activity. Meanwhile, 16% believe that implementing only this measure is insufficient to address the issue.
