Ontario Regulator Fines Booming Games $50.4K for Auto-Play Feature

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has imposed a fine of $50,400 on Booming Games for including a prohibited auto-play feature in several unnamed slots available to local players.

According to the regulator, the provider failed to configure, test, and monitor part of its games before and after their launch in the province's market.

AGCO explained that the rules of Ontario's regulated market prohibit auto-play in slots because manually initiating each spin creates a pause between bets, helping players maintain control over their gaming experience.

The violation was identified during proactive inspections, and AGCO notified the unnamed iGaming operator, leading to the disabling of the auto-play feature in the affected slots.
