A local football news portal in the Netherlands, Voetbalflitsen, which attracts 1.4 million unique visitors monthly, has recently been acquired by an unnamed foreign company. Following the acquisition, the site has begun to feature lists of unlicensed iGaming operators in the country.
According to reports from CasinoNieuws, the website now includes authors with AI-generated photographs and sections dedicated to Football Betting and Guides. These sections contain materials about Casinos without Cruks (the Dutch self-exclusion registry) and Bypassing Cruks in 2026, specifically aimed at local players.
Initially, the links on the site directed users to licensed operators. However, a portion of visitors now sees a selection of illegal brands. This shift follows a similar ownership change for gaming publications such as Power Unlimited, PlaySense, and Gamer.nl.
