The Ukrainian regulator, Playcity, has imposed a fine of over 4.7 million UAH (approximately $112,000) on the operator Slots UA, which operates under the brand name Betking. This penalty comes as a result of the operator's acceptance of payments from third parties and its failure to comply with a previous directive from the regulator to rectify a similar violation.
The repeated violations by Slots UA were uncovered during an unplanned inspection conducted by Playcity. This is not the first time the operator has faced scrutiny; earlier, Playcity initiated administrative proceedings to revoke two of Slots UA's licenses due to repeated breaches of gambling legislation within a single calendar year.
In March, the regulator suspended the proceedings pending the outcome of a separate court case, meaning that the operator's licenses remain active for the time being.
