The Ukrainian regulator PlayCity has imposed a fine of 5.2 million UAH (approximately $117,000) on the administrator of an unnamed Telegram channel for the systematic promotion of illegal online casinos. This decision follows an investigation by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in the Khmelnytskyi region, which identified the violation.
According to the SBU, the illegal advertisements appeared regularly in the channel from April to September 2025. The agency successfully identified the administrator's identity and forwarded the materials to PlayCity, which subsequently initiated administrative proceedings and confirmed the breach of the Advertising Law.
