The Ukrainian regulator, PlayCity, has imposed a fine of nearly 5.2 million UAH (approximately $116,000) on the organizers of the mixed martial arts tournament, ARENA Championship (ТОВ АРЕНА ФАЙТ ЧЕМПІОНАТШІП), for illegal gambling advertising.
According to the regulator, the promotion posted advertisements on its social media channels without registering them as media for individuals over the age of 21. Additionally, the publications by PlayCity lacked the mandatory warning about responsible gaming and information regarding the gambling organizer's license.
