On August 24, Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas will unveil a new gaming area that spans 7,300 square feet and is exclusively non-smoking. This addition will introduce 224 new slot machines to the casino floor.
Situated adjacent to the William Hill Sportsbook, the new gaming space will showcase titles from nearly a dozen different gaming manufacturers and will include a full-service bar. Unlike the existing non-smoking section, this area will provide a fully enclosed gaming environment.
Kevin Glass, the General Manager of Palms Casino Resort, stated, “Guest feedback is crucial to our operations, and the demand for more non-smoking gaming options has been clear.” He further explained, “This new area features over 200 of the latest games, a dedicated bar, and a unique gaming experience, offering a fresh way to enjoy gaming at Palms. Given that Palms was recently named one of the luckiest casinos in the nation, we wanted to create additional space for continued success.”
The official grand opening is scheduled for September 1 at 4 p.m., which will include the inaugural Spin It Forward Celebrity Charity Slot Challenge sponsored by IGT, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
This event will bring together local celebrities who will play on behalf of ten Southern Nevada charities. Each charity will receive a $2,500 donation from the San Manuel Gaming and Hospitality Authority, along with $1,000 in slot play from IGT.
Participating charities include the Heaven Can Wait Animal Society, UNLV Chapter of Advancing Indigenous Science & Engineering Society, Proud to Rescue Benevolent Fund, Southern Nevada Joint Management Culinary & Training Fund, S.A.F.E. House, PBS Southern Nevada, The Ability Center, Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada, Springs Preserve Foundation, and Teach For America Nevada.
Additionally, the new area will feature a dedicated bar program with rotating draft beers from local breweries and specialty cocktails. The drink menu will include a nitro tequila-based version of the carajillo and a rotating selection of three premium bourbon and Scotch flights for $10.
For Club Serrano members, September promotions will include Hot Seats from September 1 to 3 and Thursday night drawings on September 10 and 17, providing chances to win free slot play and other prizes.
