The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has imposed administrative fines of $40,000 on Relax Gaming Limited and Arrise Solutions Limited, providers of Relax Gaming and Pragmatic Play, respectively. This decision was made on May 7 following an investigation by the AGCO.
The investigation revealed that games from both providers were available on unlicensed iGaming sites accessible to players in the province. While both companies are registered with the AGCO as developers and suppliers of gaming content for online casinos in the regulated market, the regulator prohibits registered companies from providing content to unlicensed iGaming sites that local players can access.
Upon notification from AGCO investigators, both companies fully cooperated with the investigation and promptly restricted access to their games on unlicensed sites for players in the province.
