In a significant development for the sports betting industry, Odditt, a rising player in the market, has announced a collaboration with Optimove, a company specializing in bettor engagement solutions. This partnership aims to enhance the betting experience by offering tailored wagers based on individual preferences.
Meryl Serouya, Senior Director of Global Partnerships at Optimove, emphasized the importance of personalization in their approach. She stated, “With Optimove, operators already know who to message, when, and with what tone. Odditt enables us to take personalization further—into the bet itself, ensuring that every communication resonates with the player's interests.”
Odditt's CEO and co-founder, Matt Bresler, revealed that the companies are gearing up to launch their innovative product later this year, potentially coinciding with the start of the NFL season. Bresler founded Odditt over five years ago while studying at Tufts University, initially focusing on creating more accurate odds for in-game betting.
However, through industry events, he recognized a gap in understanding the modern bettor's needs. “Many industry experts had an outdated perspective on what sports bettors value,” Bresler noted. “They assumed bettors were only interested in complex strategies, but in reality, people seek entertainment and social engagement through their betting experiences.”
To address this, Odditt developed Betflow, a tool designed to help bettors find wagers that align with their interests, whether it be game narratives, statistical advantages, or even factors like weather and team colors. Since its launch, Betflow has generated over 1.5 million unique wagers across more than 100 leagues worldwide.
With the new partnership, Odditt plans to leverage Optimove's sports marketing platform to provide personalized betting options, both pre-game and in-game, tailored to individual bettors' interests. Bresler encapsulated the vision by stating, “The atomic unit is no longer the bet; it’s really the story behind it.”
In June, Odditt was recognized as a finalist in the First Pitch competition at the SBC Summit Americas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, showcasing its innovative approach in the early-stage startup space.
